Two large chinoiserie panel stencils have been stencilled on a pink colour washed wall behind the chair in this room. The same two stencils were repeated along the one wall and then stencilled behind the bed against the opposite wall (not seen) as a bedhead. We also chose a section of one panel and stencilled on the silk cushion to tie the whole scheme together. Although these panels are large and have several colours used on them, they are not difficult to stencil. The method for stencilling remains the same whether you are doing a small or a large stencil - larger stencils with more colours just take more time.
