| This is a detail shot of one of our chinoiserie panel stencils. First we stencilled the whole design in metallic gold and metallic copper randomly swirled together. Then we added hints of green to certain areas of the stencil. This is also a really good technique for making dark colours show up on a dark background: simply stencil the whole design in metallic gold or metallic copper or both and then add your colours on top. The metallic underlay makes the dark colours sit up against the background. |
