If you fancy cutting your own stencils out, then you will need either a scalpel or heatpen cutting tool. The blades fit the metal scalpel handle and you just change the blade when it gets blunt. The scalpel is best for cutting straight lines. For curvier shapes, the heatpen is easier to use. When cutting with a scalpel, cut into an appropriate surface - either a piece of old glass or a cutting matt. Keep the blade fairly still and moving towards you and use your other hand to move the stencil film around keeping it well clear of the scalpel blade.
